I Have a Bean

I have a bean. Not as catchy as I have a dream but it works. I have a bean in my tummy. “Little Bean” is about 11 weeks old and the size of a lime. Little Bean no longer has webbed feet and hands but would still scare the crap out of the kids if they saw her. Yes, they insist the baby is indeed a her. No ifs, ands or penises.

The kids have been very sweet and excited about the new baby. They have no concept of time so of course they keep wondering WHEN WHEN WHEN is the baby coooooming?? Ella has been great. She was rubbing my back yesterday when I was heaving while I tried to insist I was really fine and she could go back to watching Diego. She didn’t buy it and stayed with me for a minute before telling me nicely that MAN my face was red. Nate has been a sweetheart too. He is very funny about the whole thing and more likely to accept that I will give birth to a kangaroo than a boy. We shall see. If I had to bet right now I would agree with them both based on my body’s reaction to the hormones.

Anyways, I have recovered from the shock of in fact BEING pregnant now for the most part. I am still adjusting to the never even remotely considered idea of being a mother to three. Alex seems like he has also recovered from the shock. He was great. Three may not seem like as many to him as me. I just don’t have three arms so it seems strange. Go figure.

So that is a good excuse for not blogging right? Right? Yea, I think it is. So that will be me. Mom of a six, three and 0 year old. Little ducklings all lined in a row. Quack baby. I’ll be quackers!

I was sick my whole darn pregnancy with Dylan. I do not miss that feeling AT ALL.

I've missed you so much. I hope that we can start doing things together again once you are feeling more human and less like an alien incubator. ;)

Btw- if you'd like to have some alone time one of these weekends, feel free to drop the kiddos off, okay?
